The RFU8250 is the latest innovation from the Nova Kool team. Most DC refrigeration systems employ a single compressor and thermostat so the freezer temperature is dependent on the fridge setting. The RFU8250 employs a dual compressor system allowing independent operation of the the fridge and freezer compartments. More precise temperature control and colder freezer temperatures are the key benefits of a dual compressor system.
Each compressor draws approximately 5 amps when running on 12 volts DC: average power use will vary depending on ambient temp. how often the door is opened etc. but overall power useage will be similar to comparably sized single compressor fridge freezers once initial operating temperatures are reached.
Fridge and freezer can be operated independently of each other so if there is no food in the freezer it can be shut down to save power etc.
Nova Kool Refrigerators and Freezers are equipped with a highly efficient variable speed Danfoss BD50 series compressor (fan included) that is designed to run even while you are listed at a 30°C angle.
